The scouts held the Lake Geode campout on November 23rd. It was located at Geode State Park near Lowell Iowa. Our campsite was large with a pavilion closer to the lake. The main event of the campout was an amazing race-type competition with a couple of teams of 2-3 people. Some of the events included navigation using a compass, counting change, and starting a fire to burn a string. These challenges were all meant to improve a certain skill.
