Lake Macbride Campout May 18-20th, 2018

The Lake Macbride Campout is coming up on May 18-20th.  This will be a regular campout for all scouts as well as a Philmont Shakedown backpacking campout for the Philmont Crew.    Deadline to register for regular scouts is May 13th.  Deadline for Philmont Crew participants is May 6th so we can order backpacking food.

Camp Eastman - Summer Camp

July 1-7 the troop will be attending summer camp at Camp Eastman near Nauvoo, Illinois. Registration is now open.

Spring Camporee in Amana

April 20-22, Troop 2000 will be tent camping at Middle Amana for the district camporee. This activity is for boys not going on the Philmont shakedown. Early registration is due 3/30 for $33 per scout (late registration taken through 4/12 for $38).

Wisconsin Submarine Overnight Trip March 23-25, 2018

The Troop 2000 March trip will be to Manitowoc, Wisconsin to visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and to spend the night aboard the US Cobia Submarine.  The US Cobia is the nation's most completely restored WWII Submarine. The troop will also take a tour of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay and the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin. Registration is open now.

Kent Park Winter Campout Feb 23-25, 2018

The Kent park Winter Campout is coming up on Feb 23-25, 2018.   Deadline to register is February 18th.

Sundown Ski Trip January 15th, 2018 Deadline to Register is January 2nd.

Our Troop Ski Trip will be to Sundown Mountain on Monday January 15th (no school)  

By going on a weekday we are able to get the best group deal on ski rentals and lift tickets. Families are welcome to attend.

Winter Campout Dec 8-10th, 2017

Put your camping and winter survival skills to the test. We have reserved a Heated Lodge at Camp Waubeek for December 8-10th. Sleep outside or in the lodge, the choice is yours. Build a sleeping shelter out of cardboard.  Note: A night spent outside counts as a night of camping for Order of the Arrow, rank advancement,  and Camping Merit Badge purposes. A night spent in the lodge does not count for anything.   Deadline to register is Dec 3rd.

Philmont Scout Ranch Trek June 2018

Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.  Troop 2000 has secured a trek for the Summer of 2018.

Troop 2000 has secured a reservation for a 12 day trek at Philmont Scout Ranch for the Summer of 2018!!!

Space Camp

A few of our scouts have gone to  Space Camp in Hutchinson, KS for the last several Summers and have had a great time.  We would encourage any scout going into 6,7,8 or 9th grade to consider it.   If there is any interest in the younger scouts, we will need someone to organize the trip.   Someone just needs to organize a dropoff and pickup.  It is a five day residential camp.   A scout can also go individually.   It's a great opportunity to stimulate interest in math and science.   Please look over their website at
