Troop 2000 had a Fishing Campout at the Hancock farm Saturday August 2nd. Scouts enjoyed a "large" bonfire and catching fish in Mr. Hancock's farm.
Troop 2000 is a large, active Scouts BSA boy troop located in Coralville, Iowa. Troop members come from Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, and Johnson County. We are proudly chartered by the American Legion Walter Johnson Post 721.

Many Point Summer Camp 2025
Many Point is a summer camp in Ponsford, Minnesota. We arrived at Many Point Scout Camp on Saturday night. Scouts participated in merit badges or tier activities, which were activities that scouts signed up for and went to in place of merit badges. The water sports outpost and scuba training were some examples of morning tier activities.
Afternoon troop activities were when the whole troop got the chance to use some of the camp’s many amenities. Some favorites were the aqua tramp, greased watermelon, and troop climb.

APO MBU @ UIowa on 3/1/25
The APO MBU is coming up on 3/1/25. Please register ASAP to get your choice of merit badges. The deadline to register is Feb 26th at 8pm.
When: March 1st, 2025, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Where: University of Iowa
Who: Available to all registered members of Troop 2000 and incoming Webelos
Deadline: Must be signed up by February 26th at 8pm. No refunds after that date unless a scout takes your place
It is very important that we get our requests in quickly, so you get your 1st choice of classes. The cost is $10 per merit badge and $13 for all-you-can-eat lunch on campus. We always recommend taking an Eagle Required badge at these events. Note that most classes are all day, but some are morning only and some are afternoon only. So, you could take two MBs if you picked a morning and an afternoon. But the price would be $20 since it is two different badges.
Merit Badges Available: Please look at the website below to see the merit badges available and to see if there are still seats available. Do not register on that site. Only register through our link at the bottom of this page. You should be in merit badge classes all day, so either sign up for an all-day class or two half-day classes.
